Default Roof Not Operating - Resolved

Well yesterday I operated the roof for the first time in months (1 yr +) and guess what it opened but when I attempted to close it I got the message the latch was not closed so I attempted to open it. The windows dropped and then nothing. Today I checked the fluid level and it was fine opened the roof manually and did a hard reset. Attempted to close the roof and it came up a little then the pump timed out so I did a little checking. Found air in the system so topped of the fluid but the roof still would not go up on its own so with a little help I got the roof closed then I lubricated the ram shafts and all was good up and down several times.

A little lubrication will go a long way!

Hey Gus--wouldn't expect you to be having roof problems. I had a similar situation this weekend while opening the roof to go to Queen's English. It had been quite some time since I opened it and the windows did their thing and the roof started to open but got stuck. So I pushed the button again and this time also pushed up on the roof to help--this did the trick. So now I have to see what happens when I close.

I like the subtle sense of humor at this site
