Default New Car Bug

Well the new car bug bit my wife Saturday and she had to have a new 2014 3.0 Supercharged AWD with the Supercharged Appearance Pkg. And her words were to the dealer several times, "No we are NOT trading the XK in." So now we have two.

Congrats on the 2nd Jag. I'm now also in the same boat with my recent XK vert acquisition. My 2000 S-Type is not worth selling at this point, with a 15 year old who will need a car soon (he won't be driving the XK or the Raptor) .

I drove a new XF as a loaner when I had some warranty work done and it's a nice ride. It's good to see that Jaguar is actually putting modern electronics in its new models.

I think you could pick up a very nice XF about 1 year or 18 months old with low mileage at a great price. We all know the huge depreciation of the Jaguar brand once it is driven off the lot as new. This includes the XF model also.

I didn't pay that much more for my new car than the price of the white car. They also had 2013 models there with 14k off the sticker. So that would put the new 2013 cars I looked at about the same as the used white one you listed.

Welcome to the two jags world. When we bought the 09 convertible I loved it but kept looking at how beautiful the coupes are, 8 months later added a 10 coupe. I love having to choose which dream car I get to drive each day. Congrats to your wife for not letting you trade in the xk. Enjoy!

I have the same combo XF/XK, enjoy. Had them both out yesterday for family hibachi. My son and I drove the XK and my wife and daughter the XF to the restaurant and we switched on the way back.

We were only three weeks with owning two Jags until I sold the VDP.

Looking good!

Same combo here also. Unfortunately the XF did not survive the winter without incident. A monster pothole got it. $300+ for a new Continental. Fortunately the wheel was not damaged.

Nice combination....XK/XKR and an XF. Now you guys have me thinking....and probably helping spend money. Reading these forum posts can get costly.

So I am thinking of putting the clear bra on the xf. Have any of you used it or can give me your experience with it?

End it at the seams otherwise you will see a obvious line.
Does help but could get tears when hit by larger sharper stones.

As long as it is professionally done, you wont regret the chip free nose...
Lots of newer materials out there too, like self healing and such.
Make sure the detailer rolls the edges under the lip where possible....

At the prices the XFs go for it is really an easy choice. The XF SC is a total sleeper and a hoot to drive.
