Default New iPod...

Folks,
Anyone know if you can get a new iPod to connect with the 2012 XK radio? I've tried a couple of times and everytime it says it is docked but paused. I've pushed the play and other buttons several times and no luck.
Any suggestions would help.

Why don't you just go buy a 32GB flash drive, put all your songs on it, and stick that into the USB port and never touch it again? Easier, faster, cheaper and more reliable.

iPhone 6 works OK on my 2010, so I'm not sure why a later car would have trouble with the current iPod. Does it work with other iDevices?

Thanks folks, I have since tried other devices in the USB port and nothing seems to work there. MP3 players, thumb drives, memory sticks, or iPhone plugged into the USB. Seems that I have a USB issue.

The Audio Connectivity Module on mine went faulty a couple of years ago - wouldn't recognise my iPhone 4, wouldn't charge the phone. Some people have also had problems with the Jaguar-supplied 30-pin cable.

Hang on - are you plugging the iPod in using an Apple USB cable? That doesn't work. You need to use the Jaguar 30-pin cable with an Apple 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter. As the USB slot seems to be dead generally, you probably have a broken module, but you'll still need to use the Jag cable once you get it fixed.
