Dear All,

I purchased a 2007 XK the other day, with 61K miles, very clean - everything appears to work except the radio antenna; it appears in the down position at all times. I assume it should extend when the radio is powered? Any advice appreciated on how to troubleshoot.

If you don't hear the antenna trying to extend it has probably been disabled. Check fuse #4 in the back seat fuse panel (pull and lift the center seat panel between the seat backs). The fuse might be missing to interupt antenna motor power. The fuse could also be blown as well and the replacement should be 10amp.

This information pertains to the convertible model but is porbably the same for coupe too.

Welcome to the club!

Thanks! looking forward to learning a lot on this forum and checking out this cool car (its my wife's new toy but she is sort of afraid to drive it going from a 4ycl to a V8 so I will cruise around in it until she takes it back....)

Best,
Reg

Very nice!!! On the Antenna, a lot of people remove the fuse so the antenna does no go up, so check that first. Lots of '07 owners here so someone will chime in on the fuse location. If not, search the forum and it will come up.

The antenna mast fuse is F4, found in the rear seat compartment. Pull sharply on the top center of the rear seat and when it pops loose lift up to remove.

Hi All,

Thanks for the guidance, I found that the fuse space was empty and I installed a new fuse and the antenna powered up, so thanks again!

On another note it is british racing green.

I have a new problem but will start a new post....

Nice wheels, I'm waiting delivery of my 2007 XKR and have been reading with interest on the rear antenna or across the pond we call it an aerial I'm going to disable it and try to install an alternative one

Nice car... I also have an 07' and pulled the antenna fuse in order to prevent it from rising, still get very good reception. Be wary should you ever use an automatic car wash and the radio is on.... trouble may occur. I was driving my car into my garage and was parking it beneath my car lift, antenna was up... it bent slightly but not damaged, Hence I pulled the fuse
