Default New Toy

Hi Everyone,

I been trolling this forum for a few weeks doing some research on a new XKR and yesterday I pulled the trigger and picked up a 2012 XKR Polaris White with the Speed and Black Pack with the Active Exhaust.

I choose it over the CLS63 and the Panamera TT and I'm glad I did.

Enjoy the pics.

I assume you really meant that you'd been "lurking" instead of "trolling" this forum

Congrats on the gorgeous XKR and welcome to the forum. Keep on posting about your experiences and hope that they will all be good ones. As you likely had seen and read, we complain occasionally about our cars but, love them and would not trade them for hardly anything else. Jags are special!

Congrats, panamera is ugly butt . I can't tell anything bad about CLS but it's tailights and analog A/C controls never grown on me
Happy driving

Very nice! I've owned many Porsches but they were 993, 944, 968 etc. Would love to get your perspective on how the XKR stacks with 997 and CLS55.

Your choice was pretty black and white if you ask me...

Congratulations on your exquisite machine!

Default Speed Pack

I thought the speed pack had the rear diffuser and extended side sills

Jaguar USA - XKR Speed Pack and XKR Black Pack

If the dealer tried to sell it to you stating it had both the speed and black packs I would go back and insist they install them.

As Mike V pointed out, your car has the Black Pack only. For the 2012 models, there was no such thing as a Speed Pack. However, there was a Dynamic Pack that could have been combined with the Black Pack, and if you had that, then you would also have side sill extensions, a rear diffuser, different wheels (Vulcan, instead of Kalimnos,) a 10MM ride height reduction, red brake calipers, revised springs, dampers, front suspension, and adaptive dynamics...and an increased speed to 174mph.
