Default No Blinker Sound on XKR X150

Hello,

I have a 2006 XKR X150 4.2L V8 and my blinker noise suddenly disappeared. The rest is working fine including the light indicator but the sound just vanished. I have read about solutions for the XK8 where it is possibly a little speaker in the steering wheel but I haven't found anything on the XK. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and knows how to fix it? Is there a similar little speaker in the XK that can be replaced?

Many thanks!

Renz

It's probably on the blink.

I don't have any sound in mine. My 2022 F250 also has either no sound or very, very subtle.

In post #12 and #19 in this thread from the forum across the pond, the sound comes from a speaker on the back of the instrument panel:

Turn signal sound

Let me chime in here - I never really took any notice before - the "speaker" is behind the driver side dash around and above steering wheel. When using the turn signal it's tick tick tick - I opened the door (while the indicator was flashing) and the tone changed to ding ding ding.

The speaker in yours is probably toast - I wouldnay worry about it.
