Default Another Wheel question on fitment

I am about to look at ordering aftermarket wheels . 09 xkr with Alcons. I have Sentas with stock tires and will be using same tires for new rims. I have 20m fr and 15m rear spacers, I want the new wheels to fit the exact same flushness as the Sentas with the spacers, Front could come out a bit more wouldn't bother me.

Question I have is I'll be going from a 8.5 front to a 9 inch and a 9.5 to a 10.5 rear as I want the concave look. What im worried about is the inner rim clearance rear. has anyone done aftermarket wheels in those sizes and if so what were the offset . from my calculations I have 34m on the 9 inch front rim and 23 on the rear 10.5inch wheel. pics attached, its the 9.7mm inner less clearance on the rear im worried about .. thoughts ?

I think he's referring to the centerline of the wheel being outboard farther than design specs. Mostly on your 'new' fronts. Scrub radius would be off and bearing wear would increase. Not so much the rears as they are nearly identical. All this without considering any spacers, which would make both front and rears even worse. Again, not so much for the rears other than increased bearing load.
Your tire selection looks a bit narrow, both front and rear. You'd be in danger of doing a really bad rim lip scrape on every curb/kerb.
Best bet for the wheels is to go inboard as much as you go outboard. +15mm in and out on the rears, up to 20mm on the fronts. BUT, that'd be a bit tight on the inside clearances. 10 and 15 would be safer.

Hi Cee Jay appreciate the reply, I calculated the new wheels so they would sit the same outer edge as my Sentas with the FR 20m Hr spacers and 15M HR spacers I currently have as I like the way they sit pretty flush. In regards to the centre line and stress would you then suggest I keep the spacers and raise the Offset ?
Re Tire size the fronts I think will be ok but the rears maybe better in 10 wide I agree. I def dont want new wheels to sit like the stock which I find insanely inner. Ive had spacers and after market rims on multiple m3 m5's with no issue as the hr bolt to the hub then rim to spacer. Seems to drive and hold up fine. If you we take out concerns of the issues mentioned , do you think there is 9.7m of inner clearance available in the rears ?

I can't say for certain on YOUR car, but my 2010 with 20" Nevis wheels has about 3/4" or 18mm of safe clearance on the rear and about 12mm of safe clearance on the front.
I've never liked spacers on the fronts EVER, but on the rear the only thing that happens is the added bearing pressure. With only a little bit of extra offset, there shouldn't be much of a problem.
Oh, and on my car, the OEM Rear wheels fit fantastic on the Front with a 5mm spacer, and even with zero spacer.

Cheers, it's been hard to figure out with the 07-09 Alcon too makes it worse, Love Nevis wheels. I'll see if my Tire shop can lend me an idea when I put the winter tires on on inner clearance, the new wheels will be ordered to not use spacers and will go with those offsets if the clearance works. thanks for the info

Try using this tool instead: https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/
Insert the stock values in one side, your adjusted values in the other. (You’ll need a tape measure and a shanty)
This will drive home Cee Jay’s and Stuart’s point.

Then it depends on how you use your vehicle if the effects of the changed scrub angle will be negligible or not.
I “DRIVE” all my vehicles. What you are proposing would not be beneficial for me.
