Default Obscure question, suspect someone knows

Looking to see if my trusted local mechanic would be able to work on a XK. His concern is that his lift connects with the car via a frame point not a suspension point, and that could damage the Jag. Thanks if anyone has any idea!! Andy

There are factory lift points on every car I've ever seen. I think there's even a Sticky in this forum about it for raising XKs.

There're small triangles on the undersides of the rockers which point to the location of the lifting points.

Default I have been lifting like this on all my cars using four rubber cushiions

I use four rubber blocks 2x4x6 , Two each on either side of the chassis rail, I try to get as close to possible to the lift points, but on the Coupe it is always resting on the molded rocker panel being supported underneath by the unibody chassis. I 've done this for years on all of my cars and never had an issue... even on cars with pinch welds.
