Did you all know you could turn it off COMPLETELY by holding down the button for 11-12 seconds? Only car at this end of the scale that allows completely shut down of traction control, but not for the faint-hearted, cost-conscious, or unskilled....

Learned this at the Racing Academy - Amuse the kids at the stoplight....

I have to say the figure 8 exercise of the R Performance Academy was one of the best parts. You got to burn other people's tires and learn car control at the same time!

 

Yeah I was burning off what was left of the OEM Dunlops when I did this... No R Academy here in the Med and you're only invited if you have a 2010+ otherwise its $$$ to play.

 

I got ~ 220' or so, but surprisingly, especially given the amount of burnt rubber smoke shut down 3 lanes of traffic, and nestled in my cockpit btw, I only got it from 1 tire... Skips patch - YouTube
