Well I did the top.. now the bottom seems to be next.. it seems the car is having some oil problems .. and they need to replace some of the seals..
in their quote (in aed not dollars) they want to put in some aftermarket components.. was wondering if anyone had experience with that.. or should I just suck it up and go for OEM?

Hmm, some of that doesn't appear oil related. If it were my car, I would degrease it myself to get a clear picture of what part is actually leaking oil. I'm in the if it ain't broke don't fix it camp. Having said that, I don't own a 5.0 liter engine, so I'm only aware of what can go bad from what I read here. Also, I don't know if there's exceptions you have to make due to the heat where you live. Still I'd degrease it first then go from there.
As Sean said clean the engine off and see whats what - it might be a really slow leak that you can live with with topping up the oil. I'd also get a second opinion.
@Parzival, as others have suggested, clean the front of the engine before simply replacing parts.
A common source of oil leaks from the AJ133/AJ126 is the vacuum pump at the front of the engine. The pump can be resealed whilst changing the engine oil as the oil needs to be drained to remove the pump. A new vacuum pump is roughly 800$US from a Jaguar main dealer.
There is an aftermarket kit that can be purchased for roughly 35$US to reseal the vacuum pump if the body of the pump is not distorted. The vacuum pump appears in the second photo above and has oil drops forming on the body.
Moreover, as others have eluded, this approach of “just replace everything” does not sit well with me.
I can’t imagine what would be the root cause of having to do the entire top and and bottom end… unless it is a redo of some earlier work or a significantly well used engine.
Fwiw, and dspite the warnings from most, my engine compartments are degreased and pressure washed often. Never an issue.
Definitely vacuum pump seal(s) leaking. Seal replacement is quite easy.
Rest of the engine looks too clean for crankshaft front seal leak. From my experience with a split crankshaft pulley seal, oil gets on the pulley and serpentine belt that throws it in a small amount but everywhere over the front of engine and beneath.
Crankcase vacuum means it won't leak oil whilst running, then just a dribble comes out down the back of the front pulley just after shutting down the engine.
From the photos and my experience:
1. definitely vacuum pump mounting o ring leaks oil. Probably best to do all the pump seals for £35 kit.
2. Rest of engine front it too dry for it to have had a leaky crankshaft pulley seal for any amount of time, or it has been degreased recently. When that seal leaks a small amount of oil (just one or two drips worth) escape to drip down the back of the pulley each time you turn the engine off. The oil gets onto the edge of the serpentine belt and is then thrown off all over the place next time you start.
Well, those seem like dealer prices. I usually check the plugs, oil and filter for "reasonableness".
Their plugs, $60 each. NGK standard plugs $10-12
Their oil $45/L. Typical Jag spec oil for this model (say, LiquiMoly special-tec, 0-20) is $10/L Very well regarded oil.
Their oil filter $72. Jag filter from various: $16-20.
Their crank seal: $800. Aftermarket seal: $16.
Their injectors: $533. Bosch injectors: about $100 each.
So they're generally stiffing you for 4X market prices. Extrapolate that to other parts and this appears to be a massive ripoff.
Definitely second opinion.
Good luck

The quote is in Arab Emirates Dirham (AED). The prices are likely the norm, just looks like most of the work isn't needed based on the details @Parzival provided.
