Ok so is the "Creeky noise" turning the wheel normal?!
2012 XKR with 14800 miles. Bought used with 10k miles. Ok so let's say your back up slowly and you notice a creaking like sound when turning your wheels.... What is that and it it normal.... Can really pinpoint where it's coming from... Does not occur at speed at all and I notice no functional problems...???
It could be the brakes. The dealer recently changed my pads and rotors and now I have a similar noise when turning at low speed and applying the brakes. Need to go back to Jaguar to have them fix it.
I had a creak in my steering wheel when I bought my used 2010 at the end of January 2014. I had a few months left on the warranty and the dealer fixed it along with a few other minor issues. It occurred at slow speeds and turning at least past 90 degrees... Like when backing out of the driveway.
Here's my earlier thread... Retightened upper steering fasteners.

What did they say was the issue to fix exactly?

Actually the service guys did that to mine as well (though they said tighten the steering rack, or that is how I remembered it). I had complained about a creak and a bit of a crackle noise when I'd pop the car into reverse and turn to get into my parking bay. It's gone now.
