What does your interior look like? If the centre console trim is piano black, it'd go well with the gloss black R piece I reckon.

Top one because it won't shine the sun into your eyes.

I have the old timey shifter:-) so I'm not sure which but if it's easy enough to R&R, let's see both. Though with that great wrap job you did, I'm leaning leather topper.

+1 on the leather topped.

The other one just looks like "it's trying too hard" to get your attention.

The top one, because if you had the "R" at 90 degrees when it is in drive, it would look odd if the car was in sport or park.

The //R isn't bad, but it'd drive me NUTS being crooked when the shifter was rotated.

Ditto, either plain or maybe an arrow decal.

IDK, I see those shifter pucks and think Star Trek for some reason.

I also put it on my XKR's shift knob.

I think Cee Jay is right the R being turned would drive me crazy, I installed the leather topper. Thanks for everyone's input...

If there was a bearing between the cover and the plate the R could float.

And if you put a magnet underneath, you could use it as a compass.
