My "check engine light" popped on this morning in my '08 XK. Took the car to the dealer where they re-flashed the computer to extend some kind of hydrocarbon parameters. The service rep. told me that this was a very common issue and there is a service bulletin out for it. Lucky for me that I just happen to be near the dealer this morning, otherwise it would be a half a day out of my life.

So, I took advantage of the service wait time and test drove a new Supercharged XJL. I suspected before that the new XJ might be my next car and the test drive simply re-affirmed that. What a wonderful car, tons of usable power, comfort, looks... the car got it all. Was surprised to hear from the salesman that the XJ is not selling well, at least not in this area of CA. I would select it over the BMW/Mercedes offerings any day for price, looks, performance, exclusivity, etc...

 

I think I've seen 1 on the road, and that was on the highway heading to the dealer a few weeks ago. Just don't see too many Jags out...
