Default Parking aid

Boo, hiss... I found out yesterday the parking aid automatically turns itself "OFF" over 9 mph but doesn't automatically turn itself back on. Trashed my air dam, damn. I really hate those concrete parking space tire stops! Oh well, off to the paint shop tomorrow to get a rattle can of "Salsa Red". If I remember to manually turn the parking aid "ON", will it even see those air dam eaters?

Yes it will but you need to turn the front ones on as you now understand. It took me a month to learn how to judge . I also use a self trained trick. The front sensors turn on when you put it into reverse so every time I pull into a space I go in half way , put it into reverse and then go forward. Works for me

Why not use the ON/OFF switch which is on the roof, above the inside rear-view mirror?

I have a question too.
Does the front sensor detect things only 6inches tall, the stuff that is barely tall enough to catch the front lip.

Does the automatic turning off, but not on again, for the front parking sensors also apply to my '07 X150 XK?

Think the rears turn on automatically but the fronts have to be switched on.. might be wrong as I've only been a Jag owner for 4 days

They all turn on when you put it in Reverse. If you want the system on when pulling into a spot or garage forward, you have to enable it with the button.

Q&C, Not sure what the sensitivity is but mine catches a curb or parking spot stop thing pretty accurately and they are probably less than or about 6"
