passenger leanback
Seat back not inclining!
My 2008 suffered a very low battery voltage one day when I was cleaning the interior. I noticed that afterwards my outside mirrors did not dip any longer. Some weeks later I noticed that the passenger seat lean back only reclines. Well a friend was riding with me yesterday and decided to adjust the passenger seat , he reclined the lean back to the max. It will not incline. I hooked up my foxwell 530 and attempted to recalibrate the passenger seat (and the drivers seat). No luck I received a failed message. Looking deeper the scanner shows that there is no communication with the body control module and bcm2, along with the dashboard module.
I've read the revelant discussions @ this but non mentioned the lack of communication. All advice is appreciated. I’m not about to hit up the jag dealer and have them tell me @ the modules and 285 @ hour labor.

Easiest solution is to take it to an independent and have them re-calibrate the seat module.
If this does not work (depending on the type of tools/computer they connect to the OBD2 port with), then here is another DIY fix...

if that does not work...I’m inclined to pursue replacing the module. The utube leaves me with some questions.
1st is there any difference between USA : UK versions?
2nd is how do I determine the appropriate ‘passenger module’ that has the upgraded programming?
Any help would be appreciated, GGG can you point me toward some information?

THANK YOU !!!!
EDIT
I had to see if engine running made a difference, it did.
The seat went through the calibration and I adjusted the lean back. Too bad that the seat control still does not allow me to incline the passenger seat back but I now have it at a reasonable angle and will be cautious.
I sat in car to make adjustments and everything moved around so this is now fixed.
In my situation I would say my dilemma is ‘semi-resolved’.

It's a common problem on these forums and the solution's re-calibrating the seat modules with JLR's SDD software. Some have indicated some higher level universal diagnostics with the JLR software pack can also do the same thing.
