Its a known issue with the seat control module. It needs reflashing.
What I’d like to understand is: what is the catalyst for this? Its happened three times on the life of my car. I have no evidence but coincidentally, I needed to change the battery just a month later…

While I don't have one of those, it's pretty much a big NO as the liability would be through the roof for disabling a safety feature. They would lose billions in lawsuits.

From previous threads, the AUTOOL AP200 is able to engage the seat backs in the computer, to work again. It is a result of low voltage, battery problem, that a trickle charger can help with..
