Hi all, I'm planning on picking up my car from my upholstery shop and have the passenger seat back stuck in the fully reclined position All other functions for the passenger seat work properly. The driver's seat works fine. I did see some threads with this issue and wanted to confirm that a simple calibration of seat module should resolve this issue. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

 

Yes. Module recalibration. That's the fix for it.

Is it performed at the OBD2 port? Is a scan tool needed? I heard it takes a few minutes.

 

SDD, the Jaguar Computer System.
Hooking up and getting the system started takes maybe five minutes, the calibration itself takes half that time.

 

The funny thing is every time I’ve had this calibration issue, the seat would not recline.
