Default Performance Exhaust Suggestions

I'm having a rattling noise in my Mina Gallery exhaust Back box. I have about 50k miles on muffler. I don't know if I want to buy the same exhaust system again. Any suggestions on Exhaust systems or mufflers.

Is the rattle the box…. or the hanger?? My factory box is solid at 15 years of age and 160,000 kms.
As for “growl”, changing up the cats and eliminating one centre resonator did the trick.

I would go for Quicksilver or Larini. Certainly not the least expensive choices, but they are masters in their craft and you won't be disappointed in either. Velocity AP is another to recommend as well.

Sounds impressive! But on that example, what did they actually change? The whole exhaust line or just the muffler at the end? That is the question...

the heat shield under the luggage compartment has a tendency to come loose and rattle. mine had actually cracked so it couldn't simply be tightened up. you may want to give it a tap on the corners and see if it makes the sound you've been hearing.

Default Mina Gallery opinion on XK

I recently added the Mina Gallery Performance exhaust to my '07 XK coupe and have been extremely pleased with the installation, sound and performance. While installing the new exhaust I discovered my heat shield was rattling very slightly. If I had not bumped it with my elbow I would have never found it. I placed some heat shield material from Eastwood in the space that I normally use under the hood. It did the trick. Hope you find the rattle. Sometimes it is like tracing an intermittent electrical gremlin.

Hello. I have been reading this forum for a few months now, but this is my first post. I know there are many threads regarding exhausts, thats why I did not want to start a new one.
After a lot of research of different exhausts options for the XK (mine is a 08 N/A), I decided I wanted to go for the Elite RR. I like the sound and fits my budget.
However, recently I found a used Mina at a tempting price. Anyone can tell me how these two compare? Is Elite louder than the Mina? I have read many people are very pleased with the Mina, but also read some other coments saying even though sounds nice, it is not as loud as the stock one, which surprised me.
Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you!
