Default Possible to get the look of a 2012 XKR-S ?

I have a xkr 2009 and was wanting to know can it be modified to get the look of a 2012 xkr-s.
I especially hate the front lights on a 2009 xkr. From the front the car looks more like a frog. and i feel its mainly got to do with the lights.
Plus the sleek front bumper on xkr-s is really nice.

Thanks

I haven't seen any aftermarket kits to do so, but anything is possible with enough money. OEM body parts to do a conversion are expensive, but would that expenditure make sense from both a financial and emotional standpoint? Probably not. I think you would be better off to trade your 2009 for the 2012 XKR-S, and save time, money, and lots of aggravation. Plus, you would go from 4.2L/420HP to 5.0L/550HP and many more improvements.

Just my opinion.

I wish it was that simple Stuart. But thanks for the suggestion. Where we are located ( In asia). A lot of countries there have crazy import duties on cars and these cars are no where close to the prices you people pay in your part of the world. If i do what you have suggested than i need to put in atleast ( If not more) 100k dollars on top of mine. It will be much more economical for me to modify mine ( if i can find what iam looking for).

but is it not technically possible to replace the front bumper, lights , hood and the side fenders. As i would presume it would all fit into a 2009 model. Right?

Can't see why that wouldn't work.

I presume they're just cosmetic changes with the XKR-S and the body-shell underneath is basically the same.

Assuming those XKR-S parts would fit, the next question is whether your local Jaguar dealer (or anyone else) will sell XKR-S parts to a non-XKR-S owner. This issue was previously raised in this forum. Even if you can get all the parts, other issues are bound to arise; will the LED running lights work, or will you get an error message due to different impedance? Too much aggravation for me.

Also see this previous post: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...t-xkr-s-53513/

Personally, I'm pleased with what I have and wouldn't change anything.
That goes for my XKR, too!
