Default Post detail XKR-S pics

Today was a little overcast and I didn't have any other plans so I spent the morning giving the "Blue Bird", as my mother-in-law likes to call her, a good detail. Even though the light wasn't great, it was also a good opportunity to take some pics of her looking all shinny as I haven't gotten around to taking any photos of her in a long time. They are not the greatest pictures but you get the idea...

I purchased the car new back in Jan 2014 and just finally clocked 2K miles on her. She goes in for service on Monday and they are going to install the RS suede steering wheel. My sales advisor is going to lend me an F-Type for the day while she's in the shop so i'm looking forward to having a little fun with it. I still like the design of the XK over the F-Type so I'm not worried about cheating on my baby...

HDavidson,
The car looks beautiful. I put about 2000 miles on each of my XKR's in a month. How can you keep yourself from driving it? I had an F-type V-8S convertible given to me by Jaguar USA for 4 days when they first became available. It was a lot of fun and louder than you can believe could be legal. However, I wasn't crazy about the interior, and the trunk was hilariously small.

I like both (XKR/S and F-type) but am happy with my XKR decisions. I actually like my 2002 XKR's body the best, but love my 2010 coupe's as well.

I've been debating the steering wheel upgrade myself. Quite a great upgrade to an already perfect car. Love that color.

hdavidson.. I see you have added some very cool things to your XKR-S like the clear refractors. I must tell you - if you want your XKR-S to even be a more special ride you need to upgrade the rear exhaust to the spires stage 3 - Im telling you, it takes it up a notch brother!!!!! Vroom vroom!!

Beautiful. Although mine is Ultimate black, I did consider the the French Racing Blue- ultimately went with black as all my other Jags are black as well. I'm a bit OCD..

Anyway, from where did you source the clear reflectors on the front? I have them for my 06 XKR Victory Edition, but haven't been able to find them for the XKR-S.

I ordered them from a place out of the UK. I'll see if I can dig up the details this weekend.

Yes, sorry they are:

C2P23241
C2P23243

I bought them from terrysjag.com. It looks like I paid around $48 a piece.
