Say it ain't so. Frost is no problem so run it until it snows. I'm out to golf tomorrow at 41* and the top will be down. Could be a frost delay so I'll run in and get a hot coffee.

I hear ya, but frost means salt on the road and salt is not welcome on my toys
I should have mentioned that in the initial post
Oh well, if I covered all the bases in one post what would there be to talk about?

Ah ha salt. I only like it on my food. It seems your area does it differently then ours. Frost is not treated here with salt. We usually don't see to much salt but instead calcium chloride. We don't see any of that unless it rains and freezes or it snows. So far no problems here and hopefully I'll be able to get through December before it snows. I'm a big fan of global warming.

I was hoping we could avoid winter altogether this year. Sigh.

Around here, they throw salt on the road if the governor spills a biggie size cup and the ice cubes reach the ground. :\

I really like the colors you have.

Took my coupe to Supercar Sunday (weekly car gathering at a local mall every Sunday morning 7-10am), this morning, 80F by mid-show. We'd like some change of weather, this gets boring.

Default Inexpensive Solution

For those who live where winters are cold and keep your Jag in a garage, get a vent-free, dual-fuel garage wall heater. I've had mine for 30 years! (ProCom Vent-Free Dual Fuel Blue Flame Wall Heater — 20,000 BTU, Model# MNSD200TBA | Dual-Fuel: Gas Propane Heaters| Northern Tool + Equipment).
It's especially nice if your home uses natural gas. For $179, plus the cost to run a natural gas line into your garage, you can keep your cat warm all winter allowing you to work on her and detail her to your heart's content! And, because it's 99% efficient, there's no need for a vent or chimney! My goal is not to keep my garage at 72 degrees. Instead, thanks to the unit's thermostat, I can keep my garage at 50 degrees which also means I don't have to bring waxes, polishing compounds, touch-up paints, etc. into my house for the winter. If you don't have natural gas, it also runs on propane and they even have the same model at the same price that runs on electricity! Best of all, it would make a very thoughtful Christmas gift for you to give to your wife. Just tell her you love her so much that you don't want her to have to get into a cold car, with cold seats and a cold steering wheel! That way, you'll end up with the garage heater you want ... and you may even get lucky to boot!

I've got just over 16" of snow outside my house right now, thanks to winter storm Bella. You're welcome to as much of it as you'd like! Only about halfway through the storm in the picture from my mom's front porch...

You know it's funny but when I used to go to New York every year for business many years ago in March or April, I couldn't wait for the worst weather, rain, sleet, snow or a combination, just because it was so different than my normal experience. When I visit my sister about 20 minutes north of Detroit, it is always in the winter with temperatures often below or at 0 degrees. I just love it. But it's like the old saying goes, "It's a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!" There are years when we get no more than 2-4 days of rain in the San Fernando Valley, and during those years I've had my convertible top down on about 360 days of those years. I'll send you guys a box of sunshine in exchange for the snow.

Jagtoes,
Right after I finished attending Supercar Sunday, I went straight to the golf course. In the last two years I don't believe it has rained on any weekend postponing my weekly visit to the golf course with my closest friend. We've played sports against each other for about 57 years every weekend; the sports have changed but the weekly bragging rights competitiveness never has.

Have a good Thanksgiving all, and a wonderful holiday season as well as an easy winter. Anyone wishing for some warm weather, take a flight out and we'll be happy to put you up. I've got two XKR's at your disposal, of course, one coupe and one convertible, depending on your mood.

Default No Salesman Here

Nope, just an old retired Bank Trust Officer. You can also get them at Lowe's and Home Depot. The website on my post I chose because it seemed to have the best selection and variety.
