Default Was there a TPMS fix?

I saw a thread with TPMS issues. Mine has just gone batshit, it comes up almost incessantly with different wheels showing up amber. The service guys aren't familiar with the issue. I thought maybe the battery is getting tired.

I saw the "overinflate all tyres then gradually let them out" fix - is that still the way to go or is there something easier or more permanent?

Overinflating was the only thing that worked for me. When I tried to bleed them down from 40psi to 38psi warnings came back conintuously. The maximum psi posted on the tire is 50 so I'm still within the tire mfg's standards. Ride is a little firm but acceptable.

P Zeros on the front and Dunlops on the back (I regret the Dunlops). But no recent tyre changes or fiddling with the wheels, this has all started within the last 3 days, and affects every tyre, i.e. it seems to be a system fault rather than one peculiar to a sensor.

See if you can find someone who has a TPMS reader which many tire dealers have besides the dealer. Have them read each TPMS at the wheel to see if the batteries are good and if the module is at fault. Usually the batteries in the TPMS unit start to go bad after 5-7 years which will give intermittent readings.

I took the dust caps (Mina "R" caps) off and pressure cleaned the wheels and stems, it seems to have stopped for the time being.

Argh - fixed it for about a day. Problem came back, I've overinflated the tyres and all is good so far. Cant find a tyre place with a TPMS tester - it isn't as common here as over there.

Same problem here, problem started after having a right front wheel worked on. In one of the threads it mentions checking inside the wheel well to see if the sensor connector has come loose, is that a common problem? Another suggestion was to pull the fuse and reset it. Which seems to work most frequently?
Time to start troubleshooting it, Jag dealer is an hour away, does it take special JAG only testing equipment to source the fault?

It is possible to turn off the TPMS completely if it's really getting to you...

Mine is still good after overinflating the tyres by about 10 psi (43 on the front, 46 on the back) then driving it like that for a day then putting them back down to normal.

Just some examples and not cheap . This is why both dealers and good tire shops only have them. TPMS Reset Tool | eBay

I had the TPMS sensor replaced in the right-front for free from the nice guy at Discount Tires. Both the TIRE NOT MONITORED and the TPMS SYSTEM FAULT went away a few days later, maybe two months ago now. I had also replaced the R-F antenna, but I don't think it was the problem.

Your statement is interesting, but you provided no details.

How do you turn off the TPMS?

It can be turned off with the dealer's diagnostic equipment. Although a dealer might not know how to do it, or want to, or maybe even these days they are not allowed to...

But it is possible. Have done it on a couple of cars now with the gear I have.

Well, I tried the tire overinflate, no joy on getting the error code to turn off.
Guess I will check the wheelwell to see if it came disconnected
