Default Re upholstered seats

Hi guys , Has anyone ever had their seats re upholstered ? I've had a 2007 XKR since 2018 and the seats are ivory and looking pretty tired , I`ve looked on ebay etc for second hand replacements but the ones I've looked at look as tired as mine , has anyone ever had them reupholstered as I love the car and really want to keep it for a good few years , I'm also thinking of going for a black leather for a change too , ideally if you have any recommendations or photos of what you have had done that would be great

Gary,

You may want to try re-dyeing your seats. Actually, they're not dyed - they're painted. Even if there are cracks in the leather and they look awful now, repainting them with the proper product that can fill those cracks will make a huge difference.

It's an easy, DIY process that can save you hundreds of $$$. All you need is to first clean your seat and let it dry, and then use a small sponge (included) to dab on the water-based colourant, and a hair dryer or air gun to thoroughly dry it before applying a second coat. IMHO, it's worth trying a small bottle and apply several thin coats on a bolster to see if it's acceptable. See this thread:
Recolor Ivory Leather Seats

The product mentioned in that thread is no longer available. This is what I recently used to touch up my driver's seat upper and lower bolsters (from the UK):
Scratch Doctor Colourant - Ivory (NED)

My driver's seat (after) - sorry for the shadow, shot in my garage.

Of course, you can order Black, the OEM Charcoal color, or anything else.

Hope this helps,

Stuart
