Default Remove fuse to stop alarm sounding ?

Hi

Some advice please

I have a XK (X150) 2007 that has develped an intermittent fault with the car alarm which understandably is disturbing the neighbours. Until I can have the fault investigated looking at the fuse box diagram F7 is for the passive anti theft system. If I temporarily remove this fuse will it stop the alarm going off and will I still be able to lock the doors ?

Thanks

Sounds like the Sounder has gone faulty.
A common issue.
Do a search for Sounder.
It sits on the bulkhead under the bonnet catch on the drivers side

You can just disconnect it.

Hi thanks for the response, I have already removed the sounder under the drivers airbag and changed the battery but the alarm still randomly goes off throughout the day/night.

The alarm goes off on a single or double lock. I am thinking about changing the sensors that feed the alarm one by one but not sure if one sensor commonly failed ober another.
