need to replace trunk mounted cd player in xj

 

XK or XJ? At this point find something else to play music through. Usually its the CD cassette which is in need of replacement. Have you tried using a bluetooth transmitter?

same part though, isnt it? I mean, if you were going to replace that CD player or the cassette would you look specifically only at parts that came off your specific model and year? Hell no!

I actually bought a multi disk cd cassette that was originally out of a Mercedes to put in the trunk mounted multidisk cd player of my STR because I couldn’t find one that was specifically advertised from a jaguar! Or if i found one from a jag they wanted a shitton of moola! But I noticed Mercedes had a very identical player in a certain year make and model to ours and that mercedes part was really common and cheap on eBay. It was like $15 vs $80.

Oh, crap, I just gave it away that I’m reading posts on a forum for a vehicle I don’t have.and using parts from an entirely different manufacturer's car altogether!! (the crowd shouts back in harmony, “It’s an entirely different manufacturers car!” An “Airplane, The Movie” reference).
