Default replace normal shocks for active suspension?

hi everyone,

After the garage installed need shock absorbers, I've found them to be very very firm (to say the least). They are reconditioned ones (their first attempt was they were toooo soft making the car sit too low and hit every bump) .. and they are very (too) firm now. So, I was wondering, what would it take to bring the active suspension found in the XKR/XKRS (and option on the XK) to the standard XK one?

I'm guessing 4 new absorbers, wires could already be there.. and then reprogramming? anyone attempted this already?

It's much more than that, many of the modules communicate with the CATS control module you can't just put on adaptive suspension it's not that easy. I would go as far as to say you are better off getting a Jaguar XKR with that suspension in place rather than messing with a XK. The gearbox would be impacted too.

Moreover, shocks do not affect ride height. They are used to dampen the movement of the springs.
It is the springs that affect ride height.
