My XK has red caps as original specification and match the grille badge.

That’s the exact one I want. Thanks. I called parts and sent him a pic to confirm. Waiting to hear back. Thanks for the pic.

i replaced my black center caps with the red 1s and it makes your jag look so much better and more noticeable and also makes it more modern looking. The black center caps don't stand out as much as the red 1s do. ...... (remaining text deleted by GGG).

Barry,

I could either ban you for 7 Days for advertising "For Sale" in the model forum or edit your post. I decided to do the latter.

If you want to offer something for sale, either use MARKETPLACE or, in this instance, contact by PM is more appropriate.

One other place to look for price compare. I've been happy with their products before.

I changed the standard black wheel centre caps on my XKR to red and they look terrific IMO. More 'pop'. The original black ones had started to look tarnished and were letting the wheels down. I have 20 inch Senta rims and my calipers are red, matching the centre caps. I bought genuine Jaguar wheel caps from Adamesh or SNG Barratt (can't recall which now). The eBay versions are mostly rubbish - cheap plastic that doesn't fit very well and soon tarnishes and looks ugly. Ask me how I know If you're gonna do it, do it right!

I would only be getting the OEM caps as shown in post #19 by GGG. They look really sharp. It’s going to cost approximately $130 but it’s the only splurge I’ve made for my car since purchase 6 years ago.

This photo of Graham's Jag just convinced me to change my enter caps to red along with the front badge too. Very classy.

Now I just got to find chrome side vent grills and a replacement Jaguar logo for my left side. Somehow it got swapped from chrome to black....go figure!

Your car isn't fully dressed without matching Growler valve caps. I haven't seen these in red, but a little red enamel paint and a small brush with a steady hand should do the trick.

Stuart S - Do you still have those extra sets of centre caps? I'm interested something like that for our XJ8. If so, please PM me. Thanks.

I recently replaced heavily faded red caps with some reproduction black caps from Amazon. Quality was surprisingly good and - shock - made in Italy, not China. However, the caps were loose on my Senta wheels. So I put rubber o-rings around the tabs and they now fit tight and perfectly.

Sebring12Hr - I had exactly the same experience about a year ago. Bought similar wheel center caps that were made in Italy. They were a slightly loose fit in my XK8's Apollo wheels and I also used o-rings to take up the slack. On our XJ8, I've gone through three sets of red growler caps due to extreme fading. I'm a little fed up and thought I'd try red Jaguar Heritage logo caps this time around. Less red on them to fade or wash off. I found and ordered some online earlier today. I'm hoping that they will solve the problem and look good. Fingers crossed!

Those caps are made in China, not Italy. They look just like the OEM Jaguar caps that are, in fact, made in Italy and are packaged in a plastic bag with an authentic-looking Jaguar sticker and part number. The "tell" is the fit - the fakes are slightly loose!

Just like these "Swiss Made" Rolex watches
Fake "Swiss Made" Rolex watches

Enlarge the photo to see "Swiss Made".

No way they're authentic at those prices.

I USED to have a genuine (verified, but bought used in Saudi Arabia) DateJust with a gold Jubilee bracelet, black face with crystals on the points. I "lost" it when my psychotic second wife of six months got me arrested for "Beating her in her hands with my face". True story. Anyway, I had to leave my house for two weeks. When I got back into it, my watch was gone (Along with her and a whole lot of other stuff).
I sure do miss that watch though.

I bought three sets of Jaguar Heritage center caps on Ebay several years ago. The seller claimed that they were genuine, and they arrived in sealed plastic bags that looked authentic as I described above. From 2 feet away, the caps looked great but close up they weren't perfect. I didn't install them until a couple of weeks later and they didn't fit tight. After two of them fell off, I tried to contact the Ebay seller but he was gone. These are the last two I have left, for spares, and they're NFS. I have no doubt that they're copies, probably made in China, even though they say "Made in Italy" inside. Enlarge this photo:

It's interesting that the inside markings are identical to Bill's Growler logo caps in his Post#34, above. I suspect that genuine OEM Jaguar caps with different logos would be marked differently.

Red growlers look good. I also really like the monotono Union Jack style center caps if you want a more modern look.

i imagine the knock-off manufacturer (wherever that might be) is using one injection mold to make the plastic caps and affixing various different logo stickers on the face.

I admit, red growler caps looked great on our XJ8. The red faded away in less than a year though. In fact, the same thing happened to the green caps on our XK8. Sounds to be a common problem, at least with the type of aftermarket growler caps I’ve tried.
