Default Request for assistance - 2007 XK coolant tank/hoses

Dear All,

My 2007 XK was leaving a coolant puddle on my garage floor. After inspection it turns out that the coolant tank hose connections, at the top, and at the bottom, have broken in the hoses (I guess from age and heat). I need to replace the tank, the lower hose that is short and connects to metal piping and probably should replace the small diameter hose that runs from the top right of the coolant tank across the top of the engine under the plastic fascia cover.

Questions - how to I remove the coolant tank? do I need to remove the cross member support bar to get it out? it is not lifting out and I am reviewing photos of used tanks on ebay to discern the issue.
2nd - do you have a preferred vendor to purchase the tank and hoses from? it is rather daunting when you search autopart sites to figure out what you need...

Any advice appreciated! thanks and have a good weekend!
Best,
Reg

Suck the fluid from the old reserve in order to reduce the mess. Remove one bolt for the tank, remove the front bolt to the rf support strut, remove the two hose clamps and hoses...raise the support bar and slide the old tank out.
Reverse the order, refill, check after short drive, fill if needed, be happy.

Yes, slides just a bit left to right, if you look at the new tank bottom, you’ll see how that works.

Under the facia there is a simple straight connector, that fails easily. I replaced it with a 3/8" copper piping from the house plumbing supplies. Add two round clamps.

My replacement tank was embossed "FoMoCo" so that could be a cost reduction from Jaguar dealer prices. Seem to remember cost new was ≈120$ shipped.

Thanks for all the responses. Much appreciated. I ordered a new reservoir and will check out the upper hose connections running on top of the engine.
