Default Restricted Performance P2601 Error Code - Coolant Pump A Control Circuit Performance

I've thrown this P2601 code twice in the past 2 weeks. When it happens, I'll suddenly go into restricted performance mode. Stop the car and restart will return to normal function.

Anyone else experienced this? Searching online doesn't really say anything definitive or mention solutions that fixed it.

Most results point to a supercharger coolant pump. Battery is about 8 months old. I do not keep the car on a CTEK, but I do drive it daily for a 20 minute ride to/from work, and more.

Does anyone have a diagnostic procedure for troubleshooting this pump? Fuse is good.

You just need a new pump. The factory pumps are junk, failure is a question of when, not if.

Up to you if replacing with another genuine Jaguar / Hella unit, or putting in an aftermarket Bosch one as an alternative.

Looking for a confirmation before making a purchase...

Here's the Jaguar part (C2C1314): https://www.roverjaguarparts.com/oem...r-pump-c2c1314

Looks like it's either a Bosch 010 pump or a Bosch 002 pump... 010 is a better pump according to the pump curve. Can anyone link me to the right connector to get it to fit properly?

Bosch 0392022010:

Bosch 0392022002 Pump:

These two models have different pump curves and dimensions as well.
The 002 pump is about 1" longer, but same diameter.
Hose connections are different style and diameter by about 2mm.
Different connectors (002 looks like a spark plug connector, 010 is rounded).

And others are recommending the Pierburg CWA100 pump, which flows MUCH better than the Bosch 010, at 3x the price. Ouch.

That's what I decided to buy: https://tecomotive.com/store/en/wate...7.04934.54.0.1

Are these pumps plug and play? What modifications are required for them to be fitted? My car is still CPO and I'll check the pump before the CPO expires and have it replaced if necessary or possible. Otherwise, an aftermarket pump maybe the way to go based on Jaguar's history with the water pump on the 5L.

No, they are not plug and play. They have a different connector, but it's easy to splice.

Also, this discussion is not regarding the engine water pump... This is the intercooler pump. Just FYI.

Oops. Another part to worry about.
