RimTouch Up Paint

I've been watching this thread waiting for an answer. I'm amazed that no one has some input. I'm buying a car that has some curb rash on one wheel.
I'm going to go to an auto parts store and a hobby shop to look at colors. I will give something a try because I think it will be easy to remove if I don't like it.
Frankly I don't think an exact match is critical; if I am doing a small area. If it is close, I expect someone will have to get real close to tell the difference.

If you have the guts to further sand on the wheels you love. This may work. I am not advocating it. I do buy from here and they are the authority of vehicle appearance.

That is a great tutorial on cosmetic wheel repair. Perhaps more than I wanted, given my limited skill at doing things with my hands; other than signing the check for someone else's work.
We were just looking for some touch up paint to cover minor curb rash. Something that the casual observer would not notice unless they got up very close.
In my locale there is a mobile wheel repair guy who has his shop in his van. He comes to your location and fixes your wheel right there. I don't know the price, but a couple of people have recommended his work.

WOW! Mobile rim touch up.
It really makes one ask what is this deep fascination that humans have with appearance of wheels?? And why wheels?
We could live with a scratch or a door ding for the life of the car. There is no mobile flat repair. Which really makes sense. We could all get rid of the weight and space of a spare tire and jack, if there was a mobile service that bought you a spare wheel.
Sorry to make this into a study of the subconscious. But in a strange way it is a solution to dealing with curb rash.
