Default Rough Starts

For the past few days, my 07 XKR has been starting with a rough idle that smoothes out within a couple of seconds. I filled up yesterday (had gotten to the point where the low fuel warning light had come on) and subsequent starts have been smooth and regular. Anyone else experience this? That was the first time I had let the fuel level get that low since purchasing the car. Once I get through the last few weeks of school I'll be taking it in to get an oil change and a general check up, but so far the first couple of months of ownership have been great. I just get happy every time I get behind the wheel.

Cheers

My 08 XKR does the same thing exactly. I also have an xk8 that does a similar thing as well. I figure it is just the engine controls getting up to speed with the freshly started engine....although you have to watch what I say....I have been driving british cars for so many years if it just gets me where I am going I am happy :-)

Likely attributable to percentage of ethanol content in the blend, in my OPINION. Read the gas pumps or ask the retailer, try using lowest percentage and see if that distinguishes the difference.

It seems to me that I am getting a bad tank of gas occasionally. Oddly enough, I usually buy gas at the same station. I had a bad tank a couple of weeks ago, and when I refueled, the problem went away again.
