If you can find an extended warranty that isn't a fortune, they do come in real handy. I lived in Spring for 15 years and am on my 9th Jag. I have a GREAT Jag repair shop in Houston over by Willowbrook Mall, Champions Jaguar Service on Cutten Road, Owner Mike.

He is the most HONEST mechanic I have ever met in 60 years. He is also a CERTIFIED Jag repair shop.

He works well with aftermarket warranty companies too.

You also have Brutal in Houston and I think everyone on the site would tell you he is a "go to " type guy.

If it's not backed by the Jaguar factory, it's an extended service contract from a third party and not a warranty.

And yes, they do come in real handy IF the claims paid exceed the cost of that contract.

I had an extended on my Vanden Plas and broke even. Warranty paid for a torque converter. The Jaguar dealer ripped me off saying I needed MAF cleaned as that was causing the issue. They knew it wasn't and then offered my a free oil change voucher as a consulation for their scam. Never used the voucher and never went back to that dealer for anything. Glad they are no longer selling Jaguar.
