Default shrinking leather headliner?

2013 with leather headliner. I have a few large areas that are drooping. When I try and push the leather up in to position with my hand it seems like it maybe has shunk. Does leather shrink compared to suede? I'm thinking that taking the complete headliner out and and trying to reglue the material back into position will be difficult. Has anyone reglued their leather headliner? Is there foam under the leather?

Plenty of threads on this very situation. I for one have re-glued mine. It took me 4 hands to lay the original fabric, properly.

I used the 3m aerosol apolstry (spelling -1) glue.

ALL Jag headliners will fail at some point, regardless of material. Good news about the Poltrona Frau leather, it's easily mend-able by a competent specialist.

Do I need to install new foam first or do I glue the leather directly onto the hardboard material?
If so, do I need open or closed cell foam and any idea how thick the foam should be?
