Default Side Marker Removal

Anyone know the best way to pop out the side marker/indicator housing?

The manual says push firmly to the back but every time I try it feels and sounds like it's about to break.

Thanks

Hey Mike......not sure if this pic will help as the hole is actually where the bulb socket sits as the housing is over that. I removed the louvers before but forgot how the side marker housing detaches. I have the housing somewhere in the storage but I tried to look for it but couldn't find it.

Maybe use a small flathead screwdriver (of course use a cloth in between) and gently pry it towards the rear of the vehicle (according to the manual). Just a thought.

BTW.....or get the '10 louvers for a cleaner look.

Default Thank you

Thanks Ghostrider... got it off with just a small chip on the housing (oops) luckily it's on the part in your pick so the housing hides it.

I did this to test if I swapped side marker bulbs would the "indicator lamp failure" jump to the other side as well.... It didn't

I'm going to test the ground wires next and possibly re-wire the tail lamp ground, this worked for some BMW owners.

Any luck with your brake lamp?
