Default Smoke on acceleration

Well crap. I just noticed under hard acceleration I leave a little cloud behind. Blue, burning oil. I REALLY hope it's not rings, I'll have to do a leak down test I suppose. I don't think it's valve seals since there's no smoke on start-up that I can tell.

Are they any common things on these cars that could cause this? PCV valve, etc? The supercharger doesn't share oiling with the engine correct? Any way for that oil to get in the combustion chamber?

I'm wondering if it's always done it and I'm just now noticing. Could have contributed to the clogged cats when I got the car.

I was just getting to love this car too.

I had a failed PCV valve that caused smoke like that. That would be an easy check.

Check to make sure your oil level is good, too. And no, the S/C oil wouldnt go into your intake. If you lost S/C oil it would have probably made a lot of noise and failed.

I agree on checking the PVC it can cause serious smoking if it fails.

Beau how many KMs and which oil / grade are you running might pay to go to something with a thicker viscosity if indeed your pcv valve is infact good

Sean I really don't see what's so funny about a abbreviation for the word kilometre.

Sean you can give up the nit picking I'm actually on this forum to help others out ...

Sorry Steve. I wasn't picking nits, just cracking a joke at my own expense. I'm aware of the kilometer abbreviation. Here in the States, we use miles. I was laughing at Americans (me) inability to convert, not making fun of you. I didn't realize I picked nits on this forum but if you see me do it, please call me out on it. Not my intention either.
