Default So I have an aftermarket exhaust...

The dealer claims they did not know the exhaust had been changed from stock. Hmmm...

I had them look when I was in a couple days ago and they said there are no markings to tell what brand it is. This is why it is louder than I expected.

So, I will never be able to revert back to stock exhaust (short of buying one). Not the end of the world...every body absolutely loves the sound when they hear it. I think after a 3 to 4 hour trip I might have a headache. Small price to pay I guess.

Does anyone have any advice on how to tell what kind of exhaust I might have? Any way to tel if it is the Quicksilver exhaust? TIA

pleas post some pics. Many individuals such as myself have designed and then had shop fabricate the tubing for far cheaper than what is aftermarket.

it could be that kind of situation u r in. Some aftermarket designers often weld a tag to their work so that it can be identified as an advertiser for others who like the sound of the exhaust.

looks like you are either crawling under the car or taking it to the shop to take some pics. Good luck.

P.S. If it is tubing with no resonators or mufflers, I have a buyer that would be more than happy to get it from you. Prefers 2.0 or 2.25 diam

If you can snap a picture of it I can send it over to Hershel at RSC as he is an Aston aftermarket parts guru

There's an Aston - Lotus dealership about 3 miles from my house; perhaps they could identify it? Unless it is custom, there can only be a handful of manufacturers making them for your car. Perhaps an inline resonator could mitigate the sound to a level more appealing to you?

Kwicksilver & Millteck both make systems for your car. You may want to check there websites.
