Reading all the post I see a LOT of you own XKR's, both the X150 and the 2010 's and newer.
I also read how few XK type models were made and shipped to the US over the years they were mf'g.
I thought of starting a survey on here but can't find that option.
Are the "R" models more common than just the XK's ?
Are there more Coupes than Convertibles ?
Are the "R" models more problematic the the XK's ?
Just curious .

production numbers have been discussed a few times. I think it’s just a coincidence that many of use “keepers” of this fine car have an addiction to the R model. After all, Supercharger?? Firmer suspension? Oversized brakes? And that exhaust sound... Yes, why not.

 

To satisfy your curiosity, you can read all the threads that discuss production numbers. So, how do you find them? The hard way is to use the Advanced Search function in this Forum and enter the search parameters - but that's cumbersome. What's the easy way?

Go to Google and enter the search phrase "Jaguar X150 Forums production numbers." Here's a screenshot of what you'll get:




Or Google "Jaguar X150 Forums How Rare is my XKR ", and you'll get these results:




The Forum is a pirate's trove of buried treasure, but it's useless unless you know how to find what you're looking for. Google is the key to unlock the treasure chest of information. All you need are the key words. Start every Google search with "Jaguar X150 Forums ... " and then enter the 3 or 4 key words that describe your search.

Instead of finding the answers to your specific questions and posting them in this thread, I thought it would be better to explain how I would find those answers so that other Forum members would be able to do so, too.
