Default Streaming Spotivy in combination with Waze (navigation)

Hello all,

Anyone experience with "streaming" Spotivy in combination with Waze (a very good navigation app)? I use besides the navigation of my XK also Waze (also warning of speedlimit, work on the road, accidents etc.), installed on my iPhone 6 that is connected/paired with the car. With Waze it should also be possible "streaming" Spotivy towards the audio system. I noticed that the warnings of Waze come thru the speakers system of the car; that could be an indication that the sound of Spotivy in also could use the speakers of the car. I couldn't figure out yet how to get things done; anyone ideas? See for some information links below.

Thx in advance

Ben

It is interesting that the sound from Waze comes through your speakers but judging by the links it is just allowing you to control Spotify from within Waze.

If you buy yourself a WMA1000 you can plug that in to the Apple 30 pin connector that you should have for your ACM and stream Spotify through that.

Thx for your reaction. Out of the Dutch (my native language) manual I got the impression that its possible to stream Spotivy by using Bleutooth in combination with Waze.
Btw I have a 20 pin connector in my Jaquar ;(

The English version just implies that they integrate so that you can see Spotify controls in Waze which enables you to do basic things with Spotify without having to close Waze and vice versa.

What do you use the 20 pin connector for? The old style Apple connector has 30 pins and the Lightning one has 16.

I had a quick play on the way to work this morning and the Spotify icon is indeed integrated within Waze. Pressing it just opened Spotify though.

The only way I could hear the voice commands from Waze was via the same link that Spotify uses which is my WMA1000 so I am intrigued that you can hear the voice commands without it. I will have to try disabling the bluetooth connection to the WMA1000 to see if that makes any difference.

Thx for your reaction.
I really get the messages from Waze thru the car audio. Yesterday I tried Spotify again but that sound comes from the phone. If I count the pins in the jaguar I counted 20 and ordered this cable (only to load and not streaming music) https://www.ebay.nl/itm/362102781684?ul_noapp=true

My '10 XKR didn't come with the original cable but I got the dealer who sold me the car to supply one of these then transferred the WMA1000 from my '07 XKR:

If I remember, I will have a play next week and see if I can get the Waze audio to come through the car Bluetooth system.

Out of interest, what do you see in Waze when you click on the speaker icon? With my WMA1000 unplugged, I only see the iPhone speaker and both Spotify and Waze sounds come out of that.

When I sync to the WMA1000 both sounds come out of the car speakers.
