Default Supercharger Foam Baffles for Sound or Heat - leave or remove?

There are a pair of plastic coolant hoses under my 4.2L 2007 XKR supercharger and one failed, coolant everywhere, not a simple fix, have to remove supercharger while replacing the hoses - I had already taken out one of the grey foam sound deadening baffles stuffed in around the back of the supercharger and I run the vehicle without my engine cover to gain some of the whine in the cockpit. While the supercharger was on the bench I noticed another baffle, same material, very light, squishy foam covered in a thin grey plastic bag like covering, it's maybe 12"x6" and shaped like a winged bug or something along those lines (Rorschach ink blot test) and apparently goes under the supercharger in the U shaped cavity of the intake manifold.

The car is that a Jaguar dealership, they are doing the work, I'm bleeding money by the way, when I saw the baffle laying there on the bench, it occurred to me that I didn't want it reinstalled,

I called the dealer service manager today and he spoke to the mechanic, called me back and they suggested reinstalling it because of heat, I can't believe that it really helps reduce heat, much if at all and I'd like it out of there to increase the whine of the supercharger.

I removed similar baffling out of other vehicles to increase the sound of the turbo spooling up, never heard any concerns about those preventing heat transfer, they were just to blunt the sound.

So I'm wondering if anybody has had experience with this and removed them with no problems, I see pics of polished superchargers (very cool looking by the way) so I know people have had them off for one reason or another, I recall reading about removal but I can't find any of the threads right now. Need some help.

Thoughts?

It’s definitely sound deadening. With the X150, Jaguar put quite a bit of effort with various types sound control for the supercharger.
