Default Supercharger Pulley Puller Tool

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone may have, or have an idea of where i can get the appropriate tool to remove the upper pulley on the supercharger. I have had absolutely no look locating this tool online. I got my XJL Supercharged tuned buy VelocityAP and i absolutely love the outcome of the tune on the vehicle, along with that I recieved the pulley that came with the tuning software and would love to take advantage of the full package. I did go on Eurotoys website and did see a pulley puller however it states that it was for a 4.2L engine and I am not 100% sure that this is the same tool used on the X351s. No shops around me seem to posses the tool either. I was told by Stuart that the X150 has the same engine so I hope Someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Were you ever able to find that pulley puller?

Supercharger pulleys are a waste of time. No one seems to have the tool and they make very little difference. 20hp increase (if that) on a 550hp is really not noticeable. Buy a crank pulley and the appropriate tune, they are easy to install and perform so much better.
I know it is not really answering your question but it is a much better option

I was planning on doing a supercharger pulley with a crank pulley so I can multiply on the gains, especially with my car being the 3.0 liter.

I don't have an XK, only a lowly 2012 XF supercharged but does anyone here know if you can get a crank pully for the Denso equipped cars? I've never bothered with a tune because I didn't want to faff about with cutting the original supercharger pully off. A nice crank pully would be so much neater and I could convert it back to standard if I ever wanted.

How does changing the crank pulley affect other belt-driven accessories? I'd think that it would also be spinning those components faster than necessary??

Is there a thread discussing belt length change when swapping a crank pulley?

I have a puller tool specific to our superchargers. Used it once and can maybe loan it out to someone if needed.

Hey there, we are doing a f-type upper pulley project at an auto shop here in Littleton,Co. Was wondering if we could borrow, rent, or buy the puller tool from you? Thanks in advance! -John

On both the AJ133SC (5.0 V8) and AJ126 (3.0 V6) the supercharger crank pulley is a different and separate pulley to the main crank pulley which drives a number of things via a belt. The SC pulley is mounted on top of (or put another way in front of) the main crank pulley.
So fitting a larger SC crank pulley doesn't have any effect on the other belt-driven accessories.
