Default Control arms x150

Looks like i need almost all my control arms replaced. 2007 XK no supercharger. Upper and lower front and upper and lower rear. Can anyone get me specific part numbers and any advice on where to get them and about what they cost?

Also need front tie rod ends, rear sway bar links, and rear toe adjustment links.

Not sure if my mechanic is trying to swindle me on this, seems to be nitpicking and over charging so i wanted some advice on replacing.

Take a look on Rockauto for a price comparison on the parts. Just so, yer not paying $300 for a $60 part.
I've got 100k on my '07 and I drove her hard. I think I may have had to replace a tie rod end a while back, but he's still solid otherwise.

Anyhow, BOL

Do you know what the part numbers are, or where I can look them up?

Thanks, would the part numbers still be valid for an 07? Anybody know?

Definitely more work than I want to do myself but i can have my jeep mechanic do it.

The joints themselves may be ok, usually just the boots will rip up and eventually cause the joints to degrade/fail.

If you go for eBay or Rockauto parts I would suggest painting them. My tie rode ends and rear stabilizers started to rust bad after only a few days. Joints and boots are ok though so its not a big deal. You get what you pay for lol.

As for PNs, you can look them up on parts sites like SNG baratt, then search for them in Google. They show assemblies very well so you can see which parts you need.

Rockauto is pretty straight forward.
Don't worry about Jag part numbers, only the Jag perfectionists and snobs do...

Example: Jag wants $450+ for a front upper control arm, while Rockauto sells an ACDelco (ie Ford) for under $60. That's a hell of a price gap for the privilege of saying "I used all Jag parts" (which incidentally were made by Ford at the time.)

Just sayin..........

Cough, cough...ACDelco is GM, Mopar is Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep and MotorCraft is Ford...But yes, I bought brand new suspension parts using Ford/MotorCraft part numbers, saved hundreds of dollars and actually received Jaguar branded parts! In the early 2000s on, Ford used a few Jaguar parts in the Lincoln LS, Thunderbird and some others.

Yeah until you need a specific gasket or seal. Rockauto and eBay are a bit short on those.

Here is the quality you get with eBay and Rockauto parts. Like I said, you get what you pay for.

Other than the Ford/MotorCraft parts used on Lincoln LS/Thunderbird go for the Lemforder parts as they are the OEM supplier to Jaguar.

Yeah, sorry but that.... What can I say, It was my birthday and I had just gotten home with a decent buzz....
(My mistake actually came to me after I had crawled in bed, at at that point I said "Screw it, I'll take the hit"!)....

First and foremost, these are not "Rockauto" parts. These are Moog, Beck/Arnley, ACDelco.

Moog specializes in suspensions, and are one of my go-to manufacturers.
Beck/Arnley and ACDelco have been making parts for over 100 years now.
These are not names associated with crap parts, and I have no problems trusting them with meeting and exceeding all safety standards.

Ford can make the part used on our cars and retail it for $140, yet Jaguar selling the exact same part for $300 more.
Kinda puts a reality check on "Who is getting what they pay for..."
Personally, I don't believe the extra $300 to $400 will get me anything other than extra pixie sprinkles from the *** of Jaguar corporate.

I'm trying to figure out what I need her. Seems like theres uppers and lowers on front and back tires. Is there forward and rearward lowers on each tire? Or just one upper and one lower?

This is a little outdated, (IE any revised numbers can be found online,) But I often refer to it just cause I have it handy.
