Default Thoughts ?

2.500.-- Euros later we got rid of the XK-RS rear wing and added a Aeropack wing - otherwise wifey wouldn't drive the car

Should've kept the original wing and wifey out of it.

I like the spoiler because of it's extra height. Then again I like the XKR-S spoiler because it defines another level of the car. If I had a say in Jaguar I would put the low spoiler on the XK , the taller spoiler on the XKR and the wing on the R-S as the standard offering. It would define the model. It's just a form of a statement but as individual consumers we have the ability to change to what we or in this case your spouse likes. Nothing wrong with that.

Looks good, I could see the wing as being a little 'over the top' for some people.
If you've still got it, you could always install it on some car you use for errands around town, like a Prius or something.

Guess I'm in the minority here but the original RS wing, though it shows a difference from the other models, just looks way too "Asian boy racer" to me, highly unattractive not integrated at all with the cars lines. I far prefer what your wife chose, and it's better to have a happy wife then only half your stuff!

I agree with Leeper, the XKR-S wing is way to fast-and-furious for me. The new lip looks fine, it is her car and if that is how she wants it to look then that is all that matters.

Now if she had it painted purple and put lambo doors on then I would be disturbed!

The XKRS rear wing, while making a statement, was IMO a bit over the top. I think the addition of the Aeropack still makes a 'statement' but a much more 'refined' one.
Looks good.

Im with fstbmw1 on this one , the previous wing was well and truely over the top and in my opinion does not suit the refined yet aggressive look of a Jaguar

XXXAngelXXX,

Look at it this way - your wife has good taste. After all, she chose you!

Stuart

If a man speaks in the forest and his wife isn't there to hear him, is he still wrong?

Agree with both, but if I had the XKR-S, I would've kept the original wing. I don't "dislike" it enough to shell out that kind of cash. But "happy wife, happy life..." as the saying goes...

How many aftermarket spoilers are available for the XK150 cars.
