Default Tires suits my driving

As some would remember I had a tire problem with my Dunlop OEM rears. I went through the various posts and tire rack info on what would suit my needs and decided to go with a pair of Cont. DWS tires. I have only put a little over 500 miles on them but they more then exceeded my expectations. I know there are those on this form that like a more aggressive tire but for those who who are looking for a smooth and quiet riding tire I would consider them. I plan on using the car for 3 seasons but not in any snow so the tread design is more then enough. I'll see how they ride with time and mileage and I'll replace the front Dunlops next year but so far I like this set. Just my 2 cents here. Have a great 4th

I fitted Conti DWS to my prior (2) cars. I am a big fan of the tire.

They tend to have softer sidewalls and ride quieter than many 'high performance' alternatives.

While ultimate grip and performance might be a trade-off, I feel they are quite competent for the vast majority of non racetrack users.

Those looking for best-of-best performance though will likely be unsatisfied.

I plan to fit DWS to my XK when new tires are warranted.

I've got Conti DWS and love them too not the best grip. when I purchased the car December last year I couldn't find a set of 4 matching winter tires as everybody had already sold out so I went the DWS and haven't wanted to switch to summer tires yet. Although the back ones will soon need to be replaced due to my right foot
