Default Trunk Net

Hello all, quick question, has anyone found a good trunk net for the convertible? I purchased one on eBay, a universal type, but it interferes with the boot cover. The only thing usually in my trunk is some tire shine and quick detailer and towels, but I'm tired of them flying around when I drive.

Can't speak for the 'vert, but here is what I did for my coupe.

Created a floor net with a generic Walmart cargo net. Also use straps for larger items or extra security (Actually seldom needed and the net does very well).

Works great! On the surface it looks clean, but under the cover you see how simple it really was!

Don't see why you couldn't do similar in a 'vert...

Very clever. That should also work for the convertible as the panel is the same.

Not related but curious, what's the speaker looking thing to the left of the boot?

That's a suction cup mount for my old droid phone. I use it for in car videos now.

Thanks all,

I decided to snap a few more shots of my boot storage (cleaned up a bit this time) to show you what all I've done.

First is the owners manual and first aid kit. Hated having the manual take up glove box space, so they both went behind Elastic strapping on the upper shelf. I keep an umbrella and extinguisher strapped up there as well.

On the sides, I used those Velcro "L" blocks for holding water and cleaning stuff. (Note two flashlights in the side straps, and those office cubical wall clips near and below the side lights). If needed, I have two more L blocks in the garage I can use on the floor for luggage.

Last is the emergency triangle. (Not required here in the U.S. like it is some countries.) Jags version is pretty poorly made, and wont stay clipped, so I have a Velcro strap keeping it closed.

(And yes, I have a reflective vest in the tire well!)

As you can tell, I hate things floating about my car.....

Do the Velcro blocks stick to your trunk liner with no issues? Where did you purchase them? Thanks!

They do stick, and very well. They were about a half inch too long on each side to fit perfectly square between the runners on the floor, so I had to notch the outer corners a bit. The darn "Jaguar runners" are a pain to deal with, that's for sure.

Got them off FleaBay

Vince

I also use a lot of double sided Velcro for securing things like my umbrella. It also sticks the the rear carpeting quite well.
