Default Turn Signals on side view mirrors….

Hi there, I must be a bit bored so a thought manifested itself in my head. I note that some 2010's, and definitely the 2011 XKR models have turn signals built into their side view mirrors. Does anyone have an idea if they may be mated to the 07-09 XK models. I appreciate that wiring needs to be tapped into and run to the mirror, but my curiosity is more with the actual fit. Thanks….

Think I will go to a dealership or call their parts dept and see what they say. Then look for a wrecked car as I'm sure the mod would not be worth the expense.

Interested in this also. You'd need to extend the wiring from the front arches where the side repeaters are now, through into the door and up to the wing mirror housing. Not sure how "modular" the wiring loom is in that area, you might be able to just swap sections of wiring for those from models with the integrated repeaters in the mirrors. You'll also need to change the side vent trims for the later ones without the lens housing or you'll be left with an ugly hole there.

Do keep us posted, if I get some time to myself soon I'll have a look over the workshop manual and see what I can find out.

Count me in, but only if it's guaranteed to make my XKR go faster!

I don't think the wiring will be to much of an issue. When I have the time I'm going to have a look at the 2010 side mirrors and determine if the mounting of the mirrors is feasible. Then look at costs as I don't think there are very many laying around in a scrap yard. In the meantime I still have to install my H & R lowering springs, get my new rear diffuser painted then install the dual exhaust tips…..
