Default is the U joint on driveshaft for 2011 XKR a replaceable part?

Mine started making noise but before I take it out id like to know if it can be replaced,,knowing Jaguar its fused in there for life.

The shaft’s one compete assembly from Jaguar. You might try taking it to a drive shaft reman specialist (we have those here) but often it’s cheaper to just buy a whole new one compared to the cost of having one rebuilt.

There is a drivetrain rebuild place near me where I bring my race stuff. I got a new custom driveshaft from them, all new to my specs, for $160, but that WAS about ten years ago. They still do business though.

This happened to me last year. Had to wait several weeks for a new "propellor shaft" to be shipped from England. Not saying there aren't other options, just relating my experience.
