UGH wheel repair
Hey guys,
I incurred a few rim abrasions and want to fix them. The finish is considered Hyper silver. Anyone have any experience in locating a color? That is "rattle " can or otherwise?

Are your wheels aftermarket or Jag rims that you had refinished? Either way, I'd say your best bet is to have a reputable shop redo the entire wheel. One of the polished rims I had originally was spot fixed and the mismatch in finish was almost more conspicuous to me than the abrasion that was supposed to have been fixed.
I had my rims refinished in hypersilver, and it was explained to me as involving two layers of paint (a silver base followed by a translucent mettalic) then a clear powdercoat. It's beautiful, but I bet it's near impossible to spot fix and get a good match.

Am hoping to avoid the delays of a shop. I can spray a 2 stage paint using my airbrush. Just need to get the codes. Thanks for your comments.
In all the topics that have come up, I've not seen any codes for hypersilver wheels.
This is compounded that Hypersilver is a broad term of a manufacturing process and not a specific color.
I recall in past threads that there is a touchup made that may not be noticeable when applied to small blemishes. You might be able to turn this up with search.
My first recommendation is to get in touch with Braelin.

Might need to send out as I have abrasions that will need to be filled, sanded and coated etc. I've read where others have used a "Hyper silver" paint with not a good color match. Was hoping to do more of a blending process than a whole wheel spray. A side to side view may not reveal a slight color difference, but, the same side front to rear may?
Cue tip and a couple cans of spray match from the auto parts store? That's how I did some of mine, just kept taking cans out to the car to match the lid to the finish. Bought the two closest and ran with it.
