Default Water Pump modified hoses?

I was looking through the small amount of history paperwork for my car. The previous owner had a new water pump put in. The invoice has no details as to the parts used i.e. manufacturer etc. Under labour though, the line item reads "install new water pump and modified hoses".

Does "modified hoses" refer to something recognisable and commonly done? Since this the the only 5.0 Jaguar I've owned, I wouldn't know what was "standard".

You can search for threads here, but I seem to recall some owners reporting the same, as there was a design change in the pump and it’s piping.

see link below.

Have a look under the bonnet, and see if item 6 & 4 has changed to item 7 & 5.

Item 6 and 7 have the same look grey Y piece, but the leg without pipe on 7 is solid plastic? I suppose fitting a Y piece with one leg plugged off and adding this connection justifies the cost from JLR.

Thanks! I'll know what to look for when I get under the bonnet. Out of interest, was this a change to fix some problem?

Hard to say.
There is so much wrong with the engine CW pipe work Still, you wonder why they bothered messing with this small pipe.
