I have a 2008 XK convertible. The last couple of times I have opened the trunk (after a rain) I noticed droplets on both the left and right side of the flooring in the trunk. Figuring it fell in when I opened the trunk I didn't worry about it. But the last time I opened the trunk I also moved the luggage separator and there was a lot of water sitting on top of it.


I am assuming it is coming in through the tonneau cover, but I am not sure if that is normal and it should drain out or whether the tonneau should be water tight. I have yet to open the tonneau and investigate, but thought that maybe someone here has had this problem and could suggest what to look for. In my BMW there were drains, which could clog up. Not sure if the Jag is the same.

Oh great! Now I'm going to be opening my trunk after every drive in the rain, checking for dampness...

 

If I recall correctly, weren't you rear ended sometime ago and had to have repairs done to the back of your vert? If so I think maybe something in the tonneau cover area may have been knocked slightly out of alignment and was missed when your car was in for repairs. If so, that may be causing the leakage. Hope you find the cause and it is something simple.

 

I was wondering the same thing, but hoping it was something else like a clogged drain. I will check it out when it warms up some.
