Default Water under rear seats.

I removed the back seat base and water has been collecting in there, I suspect it’s the rubber fuel pump covers but I was wondering if there’s a common problem with water coming in sat the quarter glass?

Over the years there have been a few threads on this situation. Short answer: Yes. Also, worn weatherstripping won’t be helpful.

Pope,
is this something that occurs in both convertible and Coupe versions?

I Have tried to pull my rear seat bottom, but cannot figure it. Can you say how you removed yours?

Just pull upwards on the front of each seat, they have similar plastic attachments like you would find on the back of a door card. The back of the seat base is just located, it will come right out.

It rained here today, it’s been in the rain all day, I left the seat bases out to see if I could find a leak but it was dry. I lifted the big rubber grommets expecting to see fuel pumps or the road but I couldn’t see either and it was dry underneath. I might try running a hosepipe on it.
